Kudiyirunda Kovil’ has a lost-and-found story. Sekar and Anand (both played by M.G. Ramachandran) are identical twin brothers. Their father Ramanathan testifies against dreaded criminal Nagappan in a murder case, for which Nagappan is given the capital punishment. Nagappan vows to take revenge. True to his words, Nagappan escapes from prison and kills Ramanathan. The game of fate doesn’t end there. In the following chain of incidents, Sekar lands up in Nagappan’s custody. Nagappan, knowing that Sekar is Ramanathan’s son, brings him up as a criminal. Years pass by and fate once again brings both the brothers face to face. This time, it is D.I.G Mohan in whose custody Sekar is. D.I.G Mohan plants Anand in place of Sekar in Nagappan’s gang. Will Anand be able to put an end to Nagappan’s atrocities? What will happen to Sekar? All these questions get answered as the story progresses.
