Businessman Namachivayam’s wife gives birth to a dead child, on the other hand his maidservant Bhagyam gives birth to twins. The Doctor suggests to Namachivayam that he adopt one of Bhagyam’s children to save his wife’s life. Namachivayam begs to Bhagyam to give her child. Bhagyam out of loyalty to her Boss agrees to give a child to him and also promises to him that she will never reveal the fact that the baby is her son. The elder son Kannan (M.G. Ramachandran) grows up under the loving care of his mother Bhagyam and the younger son Ravi (Muthuraman) grows up in a rich and affluent atmosphere with Namachivayam. Years later Ravi comes to Kannan’s village as his Boss and Radha’s (Jayalalitha) fiancé. However Radha is in love with Kannan and vise versa. What will be the fate of their love? Will Kannan and Ravi come to know the truth that they are brothers? Will Kannan sacrifice his love for the sake of his brother?
